Bill Payment

Local Service is billed in advance. Long Distance and other service charges are billed for the past month. Your billing date is shown at the top right-hand corner of our bill.

Automatic Bill Payment

Automatic Bill Payment from Northeast is an easy, safe and convenient way to pay your bill each month. The service is FREE! You can have your Northeast bill automatically deducted from your checking or savings account at any participating financial institution.

Between the tenth and fifteenth of each month, your payment will be automatically deducted from your account. It is that simple! All you have to do is make sure there is enough money in your account and record the payments in your records.

To use this service, stop by the Northeast Telephone office or we can mail you a form. Mail the form back to us with a voided check (for withdrawal from your checking account) or a voided deposit slip (for withdrawal from your savings account) that shows your account number.

Northeast Telephone charges for checks returned, or automatic bill payments cancelled, due to insufficient funds.

Lifeline and Link-Up Program

Low-Income Northeast Telephone Company residential customers may qualify for reductions in their phone charges under new programs effective January 1, 1998. Lifeline and Link-Up services are available to customers if they receive benefits from W2, Medical Assistance, Supplemental Security Income, Food Stamps, Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). Wisconsin Homestead Tax Credit filers may also be eligible for these programs.

For eligible customers, Link-Up waives the charges for new service installations, moving service from one location to another or reconnection of existing service. Lifeline provides eligible residential customers with reduced monthly local phone charges.

Applicants for these reduced charges must provide Northeast Telephone Company with written permission to verify their eligibility for these programs. To find out more about these programs, please call Northeast Telephone Company during business hours at 822-3201 or 869-2201.
